OUR HISTORY
Watson Toyota came from modest beginnings, starting out as C.H. Watson and Son in 1922, with founder Cyril Watson selling Dodge cars and trucks. In 1963, Cyril’s son, Geoff Watson signed one of the first Toyota dealership agreements in Australia before being joined in the business by his own son, Kim Watson in the early ‘70s.
In 1987, Kim took over from Geoff as Dealer Principal, and alongside his wife Julie, transformed Watson Toyota from a small motoring business into the thriving Toyota dealership it is today. As we move towards our 100-year anniversary, we continue to operate on the same heritage site on Boorowa St, and employ over 25 full-time staff from our local community.
In 2020, Watson Toyota suffered a devastating loss with the sudden passing of our beloved Kim. Julie continues to carry on Kim’s legacy as our Dealer Principal, leading Watson Toyota into the future with our General Manager, Bernard Maloney, and our sales, support and service team.
